Steve Sornsen, DVM, M.S. Director of Veterinary Services |
Dr. Sornsen is a graduate of Iowa State and went on to complete his M.S. in Veterinary Preventive Medicine. After several years as a partner in a mixed practice with swine production emphasis, he became the staff veterinarian for a large production system. He was also an Asst. Vice President in Health Assurance for another large system. As Director of Veterinary Services at Pfizer, he leads a team of highly qualified swine veterinarians and focuses on providing value to customers to help optimize their use of Pfizer’s products in swine production. |

Jim Bradford, DVM, Diplomate ABVP, Food Animal Practice Managing Veterinarian |
Dr. Bradford is a native of northern Indiana, spending 20 years in private practice working on mostly dairy and swine. In his 11 years with Pharmacia and Pfizer, he has worked on a regional, national and global basis with the swine industry. His major areas of emphasis include antibiotic resistance and impact of disease on production parameters. |

Thayer Hoover, DVM Senior Veterinarian |
Dr. Hoover is an Iowa State graduate who spent several years in a mixed animal practice in northwest Iowa. He received his certificate in Veterinary Program/Swine Production Medicine from the University of Illinois. He works with mid- to large-size production systems on all health issues. His emphasis is in respiratory immunology. |

Mike Kuhn, DVM Senior Veterinarian |
Dr. Kuhn is an Iowa State graduate who spent many years in a large animal practice in Cascade, Iowa, concentrating mainly on swine. He is currently pursuing his MBA from the University of Iowa. Dr. Kuhn works with mostly large swine production systems, with an emphasis in swine respiratory biologicals. |

Alan Scheidt, DVM, M.S. |
Alan earned a Bachelor of Arts degree (chemistry major) from Hanover College in 1972, a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Purdue University in 1976, and a Master of Science degree in Veterinary Medicine from Purdue University in 1983. He was a Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (ABVP), Swine Health Management, from 1993 to 2003. Dr. Scheidt was an associate professor and taught swine diseases, diagnostics, basic surgery and swine production medicine in the Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences at Purdue University from 1984 to 1993. His research focused on swine production issues, with an emphasis on swine respiratory diseases. He is a past president of the American Association of Swine Veterinarians (AASV). He currently serves as an editor on the AASV electronic newsletter (AASV e-letter) and is the alternate delegate to the Legislative Advisory Council of the American Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Scheidt is a managing veterinarian for Pfizer Animal Health, Swine Veterinary Services. He focuses on identifying customer needs in the integrated production systems of the largest swine production companies in the world. |

Dr. Senn is a Kansas State graduate who also spent time at the USDA Plum Island Animal Disease Center, taking the Foreign Animal Disease Diagnosticians Training Course. He has spent many years in practice, instructing at the university level, and managing veterinary and technical services for a large integrator before moving to Pharmacia and then Pfizer. He addresses all issues related to swine production, with areas of emphasis in diagnostics and respiratory disease. |

Dr. Stanford is a University of Illinois graduate who spent time in a mixed practice, followed by several years with an Indiana swine practice. She joined Pharmacia, now Pfizer, in early 2002 and concentrates on all aspects of swine production health, mostly in the eastern United States. |
