The Power of Prevention
Strongid® C (pyrantel tartrate) is a revolutionary approach to deworming. An alfalfa-molasses–based pellet, Strongid C can be simply top-dressed or mixed into a horse’s daily ration. Prevention With Strongid® C or Strongid® C 2X™
Although most horse owners look for the outward signs of parasite infestation, the truth is that an infected horse may appear fine on the outside, while internally it is being ravaged by migrating parasites. Even a negative fecal egg count can be misleading, as it tells you nothing about these migrating, immature or encysted parasites. A purge dewormer removes only worms present at the time of treatment. The horse suffers reinfestation as soon as the product clears its system, which usually occurs in one or two days. Assuming you deworm every other month, this means your horse is vulnerable to parasite infestation 96 percent of the time. Between dewormings, harmful larvae can migrate through the horse’s vital organs, causing inflammation, decreased food absorption, colic and pneumonia.

Easy to Feed
