LINCOCIN AQUADROPS®
(lincomycin hydrochloride)
Liquid

The Antibiotic That Gets to the Infection Site

Indications

For infections caused by gram-positive organisms, particularly streptococci and staphylococci. Effective in most of the common upper respiratory infections, septicemia, and infections of the skin and adjoining tissues. Systemic therapy has been shown to benefit animals with pustular dermatitis.

In dogs, LINCOCIN (lincomycin hydrochloride) AQUADROPS® Liquid has demonstrated effectiveness in the treatment of upper respiratory infections and skin diseases, particularly those caused by Staphylococcus and Streptococcus organisms. LINCOCIN AQUADROPS has demonstrated efficacy even in some chronic conditions and infections resistant to treatment with other antibacterial agents.

Infections successfully treated with LINCOCIN AQUADROPS include pustular dermatitis, abscesses, infected wounds (including bite and fight wounds), tonsillitis, laryngitis, metritis, and secondary bacterial infections associated with the canine distemper-hepatitis complex.

Key Features

  • Heals skin and other infections quickly because it is transported by neutrophils, the primary phagocytic leukocyte of the blood

  • Effective against gram-positive bacteria

  • LINCOCIN AQUADROPS reaches all levels of the skin, making it effective for treatment of superficial and deep pyodermas

  • Studies show that staphylococci are susceptible to lincomycin at 0.5 parts per million (ppm), well below 5.2 ppm, the level that lincomycin achieves in skin
